Hyo Jin (Gina) Do is a research scientist at IBM Research in Cambridge, MA, USA. Her area of expertise lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI) and artificial intelligence (AI), particularly in designing trustworthy AI interfaces and systems that cater to users' needs and improve their experience while mitigating potential risks, harms, and biases. During her research career, she has conducted research on opinion mining in social media, conversational agents, natural language interfaces and systems, and AI governance. Hyo Jin Do received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She also earned her master’s degree in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and her bachelor's degree from Korea University.
