Alessandra is a Senior Research Scientist and a Research Manager at IBM Dublin Research Lab focusing on exploring the use of LLMs and multi-modal Foundation models for Science and real world usecases with complex knowledge representation. Her focus is specifically around LLMs, Knowledge evidence Veracity, Time series modeling, Reasoning, applied to a broad set of usecases. Her research interest are in the area of time series modeling and Foundation Models for synthetic data generation for science. Since joining IBM she has been working in several real world usecases and projects and has a successful record of delivery in EU government funded projects, client projects and collaborating with relevant IBM Business Units.
Alessandra Pascale received the B.Sc. degree (with honors) from Politecnico di Bari in 2006 and the M.Sc. degree (mark 110/110) from Politecnico di Milano in 2009, both in Telecommunication Engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano in 2013. She was also enrolled in the ASP (Alta Scuola Politecnica) program, a school of excellence between Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino. She was visiting researcher at University of California, Berkeley, in the TOPL group, from February to July 2012.
