Interactive AI Solutions For Real World Business Problems

Abstract

In order for AI to be truly leveraged in real world solutions techniques must be developed that go beyond single-criterion optimization and also consider the human decision process AI is embedded in. Recent advances in explainability take a big step towards eliciting encoded patterns from ML models and engage domain experts. Only when a user understands an AI based prediction or recommendation can the user bring their insights and knowledge and interact with the AI solution to steer and influence meaningful decision processes. This talk discusses how we at IBM Research Ireland are developing interactive AI solutions to solve real world business problems.
