Overview

Katja-Sophia Csizi

Title

Postdoctoral Researcher

Location

IBM Research Europe - Zurich Zurich, Switzerland

Bio

Dr. Katja-Sophia Csizi joined IBM Research - Zürich as a Postdoctoral researcher in the Science of Quantum and Information Technology group in 2023. Her current work focuses on the deployment of complex chemical reaction networks (CRNs) for chemical computing applications. She is in particular interested in the application of artificial intelligence models to understand and utilize the dynamic complexity of these networks, and to link the digital world with wet-chemistry systems. This work is funded as part of the EU Project CoreNet.

Katja-Sophia Csizi studied chemistry with a focus on Computational Quantum Chemistry at Freie Universität Berlin, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, and Oxford University. She obtained her PhD in Quantum Chemistry in 2023 from ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Markus Reiher with the title "Autonomous Construction of Quantum Hybrid Models for Biochemical Applications". Her doctoral work focused on the automated exploration of chemical reactions in nanoscopic structures via black-box constructible quantum-classical hybrid models.
