I am an IBM Fellow working on exploratory science projects applying Generative AI to Computer Communication Networks.
I received my undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology in 1987 and my doctorate degree from University of California, Berkeley in 1991. I also have a degree in Management of Technology from NYU Polytechnic. I am an IEEE Fellow, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK.
I joined IBM Research in 1992, and have worked on various projects related to autonomic computing, policy based networking, network science, mobile networks and wireless networks, Internet of Things and Cognitive Computing.
I served as the U.S. Principal Investigator for the International Technology Alliance in Network Sciences from 2006-2016. I served as the U.S. Principal Investigator for the International Technology Alliance in Distributed Analytics from 2016-2021.
I have authored eleven technical books based on my research work at IBM. My family and I have written a number of bilingual books to teach Hindi, my mother-tongue. You can find a list of those books at Chanda Books.
