Semiconductor inventory management in & respond environment

A Sense-and-Respond enterprise is one that is constantly adapting to keep up with a rapidly changing business environment while continuously servicing the needs of its employees, customers and trading partners. To implement the Sense-and-Respond approach, an enterprise needs a near real-time window into the operational health of its business, as well as effective decision-support tools to help it react in a timely manner. In this paper, we describe a pilot with the IBM Microelectronics Division that supports event-driven management of inventory, on-time delivery and shipments.
