Optimal Control in Fluid Models of Stochastic Networks with Constraints

Abstract

We consider issues related to optimal scheduling in fluid models of a class of stochastic networks with constraints under a general linear objective function of fluid costs. Such networks have been widely used in many application domains. We derive the corresponding optimal control policy and establish structural properties for the optimal solution.
