High Speed VCSELs and Co-Packaging for Short Reach Communication within Cloud and High Performance Computing

Abstract

Directly modulated VCSELs, both shortwave (MMF) and longwave (SMF) continue to advance with speeds reaching 160Gb/s and distances beyond 100m. Co-packaged optics is the next progression from pluggables in the evolution of high speed optical interconnect. This talk will cover both of these topics.
