Advanced write heads for high density and high data rate recording

Abstract

The effectiveness of advanced write heads for high density and high data rate recording was studied. The production level write drivers and read channels were used to demonstrate recording performance. The results showed that the writing poles with high moment plated material and an ultra-high moment sputtered alloy were utilized to enhance performance.
