Matheus Esteves

Matheus Esteves is a Research Scientist at the IBM Research center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2017 he is part of the Industrial Technology and Science group, led by Dr. Mathias Steiner.

Matheus Holds a Bachelor in Nanotechnology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a Masters in Electrical Engineering with focus on optics and photonics from PUC-RIO, and is currently a Doctoral candidate at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) with emphasis on Nanotechnology.

Matheus' current research interests are in the field of carbon capture, storage and sequestration in porous media, most notably on geological storage of CO2 and on the study of MOF-CO2 interactions with micro/nano-spectroscopy.
