Leonardo Tizzei is a Research Staff Member at IBM Research – Brazil, since May of 2013. He is currently engaged in projects on the domain of geospatial data processing and analysis.
Prior to joining IBM Research Brazil, he was a post-doctorate student of the Institute of Computing at University of Campinas (Brazil). He earned a bachelor's degree (2003), a master's degree (2007), and a PhD (2012) in Computer Science from the University of Campinas. During his PhD, he was a visiting researcher at School of Computing and Communication - Lancaster University (UK) from July of 2009 until January of 2010.
Leonardo's research interests lies in the fields of software reuse and maintenance. In particular, during his PhD he conducted empirical studies on the integration of aspect-oriented and component-based approaches to support the evolution of software product line architectures. He has authored/co-authored peer-reviewed publications in journals and conferences. Besides the above mentioned areas, his research interests also include software product line engineering, component-based development, and software dependability.
