Dr. George (Jiri) Stehlik is a Principal Research Scientist at IBM Quantum. George has received B.S. in Computer Science and Physics from Binghamton University, and PhD from Princeton University, where he studied quantum dots formed in Indium Arsenide nanowires. After joining IBM, George has focused on quantum hardware research. Initially studying fidelity limiting mechanisms in quantum gates and alternative mechanisms for creating two qubit gates. Since 2024 George has focused on research to realize error corrected quantum chips based the quantum LDPC codes, helping to define the loon architecture.
