Alexander Miessen is a Ph.D. student working jointly between the Quantum Computational Science group at IBM Quantum, IBM Research - Zurich, and the University of Zurich. His current research centers on developing quantum algorithms for quantum dynamics and their application to problems in many-body quantum systems.
He joined IBM Quantum for his Master's thesis in 2020 and holds a B.Sc. in physics from Humboldt University Berlin and an M.Sc. in physics from ETH Zurich.
