Transient heat flow from an epitaxial layer into the substrate

Abstract

Upon the application of a high power density to a thin epitaxial layer, the transient flow of heat from the layer into a substrate of the same material has been calculated. The results have been normalized so as to apply to different materials, temperatures, and layer thicknesses. © 1971 SDAIEEE
