Previous theories of the kinetic aspects of domain wall motion were based on one-dimensional solutions of the Landau-Lifshitz equation. Our recently derived [1,2] equations of motion for a curved wall in three-dimensional space are particularly applicable to bubble Films. We found [3,4] that the stray magnetic field emanating from divergence at the film surfaces destabilizes uniform motion of the domain wall at a critical velocity Vmuch smaller than Walker's limit.
