Mapping XML and relational schemas with Clio
Abstract
Clio, a semi-automatic schema mapping tool, was demonstrated. Clio’s extensible markup language (XML) mapping engine algorithm was showcased and some practical applications of the tool were discussed. Full support for mappings in any direction and in any combination of relational and XML schemas were presented as the features of this engine. The schemas were employed to demonstrate the basic concepts and schemes from a Life Science problem in order to prove the validity of Clio on real-world schemas.
