Insight ease: A system for automated data-driven healthcare insight generation

Abstract

While the accumulation of healthcare big data provides great chance for healthcare insight discovery, the process remains largely manual. To increase its efficiency, we developed Insight Ease, an extendable system for automated data-driven healthcare insight generation. Insight Ease, with the coordination of five virtual managers and support from a backend knowledge base and an analytics pipeline pool, enables the automated generation of an Insight Ease report to answer a specific data-related healthcare query with statistical summary and visualization. Here we introduce the design and framework of the system and demonstrate its use with a case study.
