Extendability of CIP spin-vlave sensors to narrow dimensions
Abstract
The extendability of CIP spin-valve sensors to narrow dimensions was discussed. The PtMn pinned spin valve films were patterned into 1 μm long wires with widths ranging from 250 to 330 nm, to minimize the parasitic resistance. The device magnetoresistance clearly degraded with the decreasing trackwidth.
