Effect of atomic disorder on transport through magnetic tunnel junctions
Abstract
A discussion about the effect of atomic disorder on transport through magnetic tunnel junctions was presented. In the transmission probability, giant variations were found with limited disorder. With reference to experiments showing strong spatial variations in the tunnel current, consequences for thin film tunnel junction devices were also discussed.
