Dual layered very thin flat surface micro prism array directly molded in an LCD cell

Abstract

We developed basic techniques to mold dual layered polymer optical component directly on a LCD glass substrate, applied for the novel very high light transmittance color LCD. These techniques are, high precision mastering technique by diamond cutting, and dual layer 2P molding technique, for the fabrication of very thin flat surface precision optical components directly molded inside the LCD panel with very good alignment accuracy.
