Detection of single micron-sized magnetic bead and magnetic nanoparticles using spin valve sensors for biological applications
Abstract
The fabrication of a highly-sensitive spin valve sensors and its detection of a single magnetic microbead was discussed. Two-dimensional micromagnetic simulations for the spin valve sensors also confirmed the detection capability of the sensors. The spin valve sensors showed promise for applications in the identification of biomolecules such as DNA fragments labelled by such a magnetic particle.
