Conjunctive concept learning as affected by prior relevance information and other informational variables

Abstract

Manipulation of prior relevance information led to superior performance by undergraduates in the relevance-certainty vs relevance-uncertainty condition. Concomitant manipulation of 2-dimensional value variables (number and kind) resulted in the predicted absence of reliable performance effects.
